Job Responsibilities
The major duties and responsibilities you will have as a Service Writer/Sales and Customer Service Representative include:
Maintaining up to date technical qualification (PHD and others)
Completing all training programs assigned to the Service Manager
Diagnosing problems concisely
Describing problems accurately on their repair order Handling customer complaints with a positive, can-do attitude while demonstrating our commitment to Make things right
Estimating costs and completion times and point-of-sale and conveying information to the customer
Setting reasonable customer expectations that can and will be met
Informing customers immediately of any changes, delays or additional services needed
Acting as a liaison between the customer and the service technicians
Assigning jobs to technicians based on skill level and resource utilization
Determining the correct part numbers on repair orders and assisting the parts department with selecting and posting of parts used before the job starts
Reviewing work-in-progress to ensure quality and timeliness
Following procedures for quick and efficient handling of warranty items including tagging and proper storage
Opening and closing all customer paid, warranty and internal repair orders
Becoming familiar and efficient with all phases of the computer system

Job Requirements

As our Service Writer/Sales and Customer Service Representative you will meet the following requirements:

Current motorcycle license
Ability to balance and push a 600
lb motorcycle
1
years of customer service and/or sales experience
Excellent writing skills
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge and experience with servicing Harley-Davidson motorcycles, other products sold by the dealership or ability to learn them quickly
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, noisy environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, potential exposure to battery acid, gasoline, chemical cleaning products and other toxic materials commonly found in a motor vehicle service department
Be organized with a strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and change gears quickly
Outgoing, enthusiastic and friendly attitude
Basic computer skills
