Under the direction of the NTRM General Manager, the Manager-Logistics/Distribution Services for North Texas Ready Mix will be responsible for scheduling, inside sales, customer service, logistics and distribution of all concrete materials to the customer as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible.
oManage customer service call center to assure prompt and thorough attention to customer needs and order scheduling.
oCoordinate all functional departments including Technical Services, Operations, and Sales to meet customer needs.
oOversee the allocation of orders to plants in order to assure the most cost effective delivery of all materials to trade and affiliate customers.
oOversee the scheduling of mixer operators to optimize staffing of vehicles to meet customer demands.
oOversee outbound logistics coordination of ready mixed concrete assuring proper service/efficiency goals are met.
oConduct annual reviews with employees after assessment and evaluation of their performance. Recommend employee annual merit increase amounts.
oHeavy involvement in selecting, training, and developing distribution, customer service, sales, and production personnel.
oAppraise performance of subordinates and take/recommend appropriate personnel actions as necessary.
oProvide the best possible solution to problem solving or decision making by conscientiously testing methods, examining facts, trying different alternatives, and thinking things through towards implementation and execution.
oAttend safety meetings (at least once a month).
oDevelop strong business relationships with key customers.
oSecure outside transportation when needed for outbound deliveries.
oEnsure professional appearance and attitude is maintained by all members of the Concrete logistics and inside sales personnel.
oMonitor the dispatch system at all locations within North Texas Ready Mix and make improvements where possible.
oMaintain inside and outside sales accounts.
oAct as NTRM liaison in negotiations with customers and suppliers.
oResponsible for the coordination of the concrete materials order cycle.
oAnalyze data in order to monitor performance. plan improvements, and customer demand.
oManage the Command Optimization system ensuring appropriate compliance within the system.
oPerforms other duties as assigned.
oA minimum of five years experience in management, sales, and/or logistics.
oIntermediate computer skills.
oMust have exceptional written and oral communication skills.
oMust have experience leading others and achieving performance objectives.
oBachelor's degree or 10 years equivalent work experience required.
oAbility to drive a motor vehicle and meet insurance requirements.
oAbility to lift up to 40lbs.
oMust be able to walk, climb, and stand for extended periods of time.
Environment varies between air conditioned office environments and occasional outside assignments that may include all weather conditions such as heat, cold, wet or dry. Incumbent may be exposed to plant dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, on a limited basis. Incumbent will occasionally have to work outside of normal business hours via lap top and mobile phone to ensure customer needs are met.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
